BanerVan: A Ride for Rinti is an effort on the part of the many, many (hundreds? Thousands?) friends of Bob and Rinti Banerjee to raise the funds needed to let them purchase a VERY much needed new wheelchair accessible van. These are highly specialized and adapted vehicles, and there is no insurance coverage or funding sources to assist with the cost.

Rinti has been battling MS for over 20 years. She deals with it with dignity, courage and a smile on her face! At this point, Rinti is unable to voluntarily use any muscles below her shoulders and is confined to a wheelchair. Their wheelchair van is her only way to see the world outside her home.

Bob has given his musical all over the years to entertain and lift our hearts and spirits through his never ending devotion to his fans and his faster than speed of light fiddle playing. …and the mandolin! We can’t forget the distortion mandolin!! Seriously, if you have heard him play, whether with Corned Beef and Curry, the Outsourced Band, or any of the other numerous bands he joins on any given night, you cannot walk away without a smile on your face and in your heart.

Please help us in our efforts to raise the money that is desperately needed for this van. Help us repay Bob and Rinti for all the years they have shared their lives, music, hopes and dreams with us! Dig into those pockets…dig deep! You can do it!
